Helllloooo,
Any of you remember when we were just two dreamers, thinking we could change the world one grass-finished steak at a time? That was us, about 15 years ago, saddling up in the Wyoming mountains and dreaming big. A bunch of you have stuck with us that long.
This whole thing kicked off as a truly wild idea: "Let's bring this ranch life straight to folks' dinner tables." Sounds simple, right? Well, it turns out it was a blend of exciting, daunting, and a bit of naivety. Fast forward through some serious trial and error (more like blood, sweat, and tears), and here we are.
Launching into the online world back around 2012 was like throwing a party without knowing if anyone would show up. But you guys – you came through. Those first few months when we first went online, we made about 600 bucks. Might not sound like a fortune, but to us, it felt like we'd struck gold. To those pioneering souls who've been with us since the beginning – you rock.
Our ranch transformed into a living, breathing hub of all things meaty. Pastured chickens roaming here, happy pigs over there, and cows grazing Wyoming's open pastures that we absolutely adored. And let's not forget our four-legged friends. From Poke and Punch, our intrepid cow dogs, to Zeus and Apollo, our loyal guardians.
Last year, we hit the pause button when reality hit. Turns out, we weren't just ranchers. We morphed into webmasters, customer service reps, and logistics coordinators. Talk about a wild rodeo of roles!
We were in over our heads, treading water in a swamp of overwhelm. We took a step back to rethink our direction. What started as a simple dream had ballooned into something much, much bigger, and it was time to recalibrate.
We're prepping for a grand re-launch, and your voice matters a ton to us. We've got plans, a boatload of new ideas, and a whole lot of gumption to get back in the saddle. Over the next month, we'll be spilling the beans on our next chapter and we're eager to hear your thoughts.
Catch you soon,
Dan Lorenz
